So: Signal Hill has really good blueberry picking.

We hiked out to Ross Valley and picked two pints worth.  It was very windy - a nice break from yesterday.  Last night explained to me why yesterday was so muggy - we were hit with a tropical storm. Hot & humid wind coming from every direction... all our windows in the house were open - it was so lovely - felt like we were in the Caribbean or something.

Today an Englishman on holiday gave our dog 'a scratch' and remarked that Rowan was the same name as their Archbishop - which ties into our little visit to the Anglican Cathedral down the road (strictly for the architecture)... and the fact that we walked through an old Anglican cemetery that is a next-door neighbor to a prison.
